We will be posting our 2010-2011 Training Schedule and information about registering for our Fall Season very soon. We will no longer offer monthly registrations as we find that it is too confusing for people to keep track of so many dates.

Registrations will take place with one convenient payment for Sept. - Dec. / Jan - Jun. / Jul - Aug. Our members have made it clear that month to month registration needs to be available for the summer months and we are pleased to provide this.

Check back soon, to find out how to register for our Fall Program. Register early, to avoid disappointment. We will continue to limit the number of students that we allow into our Programs. Refer to EVENTS for more details.

Welcome to Metro Karate Training Centre

Metro Karate Training Centre is HRM’s foremost Karate and Fitness training facility.  Our students benefit from an Internationally recognized, mandated, layered approach to teaching traditional Karate techniques. State of the art plyometric cardio routines for fitness, as well as lots of fun, are a big part of what makes Metro Karate Training Centre a success.

There is a large children’s complement learning Karate, which includes traditional training, but also how to deal with bullies, how to be street smart and how to be assertive yet disciplined. Our adult class is no different.  We have students with diverse physical ability and backgrounds. Our class sizes are small with a general 1:5 instructor to student ratio. We are extremely proud of our instructors who continuously provide outstanding karate instructions, modivation, encouragement and a family friendly atmosphere.

Metro Karate Training Centre is owned and operated by Sensei Ron Fagan.  He has been practicing Karate, full-time for 37 years.  He was awarded his seventh Dan ranking in 2005.  Sensei Fagan was the first Atlantic Canadian to compete at the Pan-American Karate Championships.  For many years, he held the position of Chief Technical Director to O’Sensei Masami Tsuruoka.  Sensei Fagan developed the “Practical Kata” (PK) training as well as the first Teaching Accreditation Program (TAP) for his instructors.    He provides TAP training to other Martial Arts complexes Internationally.  He is currently the Technical Director for the International Karate Alliance of Canada.
